Summer of Truce: Restart Weekend

When it comes to organic cold press juice, not everyone gets it. We've all had that moment when we're drinking a detoxifying green juice and a friend, coworker, or family member pulls one of these:

"I could never drink something like that. It can't taste any good."

Sure, we'll admit it, if you've never had any raw and organic green juice before, Hardcore Greens can be a little strong for some palates. Even our ingredient list might be a little intimidating to those unaccustomed to a diverse fruit and vegetable diet (e.g. chard, ginger, beet, jalapeño, parsley). But from the start we've been committed to providing flavors appealing to both cold press veterans as well as beginners. Still, some are skeptical. That's where Restart comes in.

One of our seasonal summer juices (along with A.M.P.), Restart is an ultra hydrating and light mix of mint, lime, cucumber, and—the star attraction—watermelon. It's the essential summer drink for a number of reasons:

  • Watermelon is currently at its peak flavor, just in time for the 4th of July.
  • Mint gives a boost of energy to keep you going through the extra hours of daylight all the way to the fireworks.
  • High water content in cucumber and watermelon, mixed with vitamins and electrolytes, keeps the body hydrated better than H2O alone.
  • Lime is the final touch, bringing the other flavors together with a light citrus.

And what's more, it's the perfect juice to throw on ice for parties and barbecues—especially for all your non-juicing friends. Most people seem to be more comfortable with a "watermelon drink" over a dense vegetable juice.

As we're closed this Friday for the 4th and not opening until noon on Saturday, now is the time to stock up for the weekend. Even if you buy juices on Wednesday, they'll stay fresh until the end of the day on Saturday. So stop by and grab some Restart—maybe throw in some A.M.P. and Vacay too if you're feeling crazy—to add to your 4th of July grill out menu. Mixing those in with craft beer in your cooler will keep everyone happy and refreshed, and probably save a couple people from dehydration and/or a hangover. Stay healthy, get your nutrients, and you'll be able to keep the celebrations going the entire long weekend.

Happy Independence Day!
